Summary
We are currently seeking a dynamic Contract Manager to join our team at our office in Norfolk, VA or Boston, MA. The Contract Manager will be responsible for providing leadership in Contract Management for Customer and Vendor agreements to drive operating efficiencies, scalable processes, and enhanced controls. The position will be responsible for managing daily contract operations and workflow, and developing policies and procedures to ensure contracts are executed, approved, and maintained while also insuring compliance with stated policies.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for the monitoring and analysis of contract workflow including appropriate reporting of metrics. * Serve as point of contact for contracts, acting as liaison between internal and external principals to ensure timely review and approval of contracts. * Handle standard Company contracts directly with internal and external principals, and provide recommendations on redline changes to standard and non-standard contracts to appropriate Legal counsel, Finance and other internal principals. * Responsible for contract process documentation and insuring that appropriate training and business continuity plans are included. * Work with Finance and Legal to ensure adherence to company finance and risk management controls and requirements. * Review all contract documents and ensure they are appropriately executed, cataloged, and maintained. Proactive monitoring for expirations and renewals. * Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to relevant parties to provide contract visibility, awareness and support implementation and ongoing compliance. * Assist with implementation of Contract Management application and serve as on-going administrator of Contract Management application post implementation. * Analyze and evaluate contracting processes and recommend actions to streamline processes, improve operational efficiencies, and identify opportunities for improved controls. * Performs special projects and other duties as assigned and required.
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * Bachelor’s Degree required; Paralegal degree highly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience **Relevant Work Experience:** * Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in contracting function * Compliance 360 system application experience preferred; however, equivalent experience with other contract management applications will be considered * Ability to self-manage under aggressive deadlines interacting and working in a team environment with all levels of staff and management, and produce results while achieving appropriate level of controls and innovation **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :** * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite * Analytical and problem solving ability * Interpersonal communication skills * Verbal and written communication skills * Strong group presentation and public speaking skills * Collaboration and team-oriented work philosophy
