Summary
The Director of Demand Generation owns and manages the three components of our acquisition program - data, automation systems and processes, and metrics reporting. This person is responsible for leading the creation, optimization, and execution of Axial’s member acquisition strategy through all relevant channels - both for paying and free members. The Director of Demand Generation will have to get to know all our member types - to leverage available messaging, outline needed assets and build compelling campaigns - in the service of building the network and generating revenue.
Responsibilities
* Architect, develop and optimize a member acquisition engine that drives growth in our target markets. In partnership with all relevant go-to-market organizations, ensure the measures funnel effectiveness and predictability * Build, own, and clean Axial’s expanding database * Apply deep understanding of the Company’s buyer personas and influencers through outlining and distributing needed persona-based content * Define and monitor the role of automation and enablement in the full sales cycle, along with Sales Marketing and Operations * Define and execute targeted and measurable campaigns, tradeshows and other lead generation and nurturing programs that build pipeline, driving MQLs to the SDR team. Experiment, measure, and determine an optimal mix of inbound and outbound programs * Build the processes to adapt and syndicate the demand generation strategy across all target markets; in close collaboration with sales and marketing teams, define the impact of demand creation activities on sales pipeline, revenue and sales cycle length * Own and optimize the end-to-end lead management process in conjunction with Sales Operations; institute a discipline for lead nurturing, lead scoring and lead development. * Set strategy to allocate budgets, determine the tactical mix, design calls to action, and define/refine individual program goals. Manage Axial.net conversion along with Sales Marketing * Deploy, own and drive adoption of maximal utility of the chosen marketing automation system * Build relationships across the organization to identify initiatives, share results, and be a role model for excellence in execution and commitment to our values and culture
Ideal Candidate
* Technology marketing experience * 7+ years of technology demand marketing/lead generation experience * Analytically inclined, understanding what data means and how to apply it to identify opportunities and solve problems * Experience creating, implementing, and measuring proven successful seeding, demand creation, lead nurturing and pipeline acceleration programs * Intuitive understanding of traffic drivers. Solid understanding of SEO, social media strategies, and communication delivery practices to drive awareness and engagement. Experience testing strategies to enhance the demand creation process, including response and conversion rates and multivariate testing * Resourcefulness to leverage tools and partners to enhance marketing strategies. Proficiency with marketing and sales automation, web content management, web analytics and reporting * Working knowledge of SEM, SEO and PPC * Customer focus * Interest in or experience in financial technology and / or corporate finance * High attention to detail and focus on quality output * Management and leadership * Commitment to achieving impeccable and persuasive communication both internally and externally * Cross-functional management ability, including proven experience interfacing effectively with go-to-market teams, revenue operations, product marketing, and content creation teams * Process-oriented; adept in creating and implementing process in an agile organization * Experience developing and overseeing junior team members * Experience managing and consistently communicating around marketing budgets, project P&Ls, and campaign analyses
