Summary
This Marketing Manager position is a great opportunity to have real impact – on our business, on the field of corporate learning, and of course on your career. Our headquarters are in Seattle, Washington, but you can be anywhere. (About 1/3 of our current staff works remotely. Though we just call it working.)
Responsibilities
* Lead generation and market-making activities including: * Content creation (blog posts, emails, website, brochures, webinars, videos, articles, ebooks, white papers, speaking presentation decks, case studies, social media, etc.) * Sales support * Planning and maintaining editorial calendar * Award submissions * Partner cross-marketing * PR/AR * Marketing automation and lead nurturing * Departmental functions including: * Vendor and freelancer coordination * Internal marketing * Optimizing efficiency and impact of processes and systems * Analytics and reporting "
Ideal Candidate
* The most important thing we’re looking for in this role is excellent writing ability. You will be nimbly creating high-quality content of all kinds across all standard B2B media channels, and maintaining a cohesive and differentiating brand voice to fill the pipeline and drive sales. You will be expected to have creative business-driving ideas and to execute them with close attention to detail. Our product is innovative and a leap forward from typical legacy enterprise learning technologies, so the ability to compellingly articulate differentiation and complex concepts is critical. * Second on the must-have list: excellent organization and project coordination skills. The Intrepid marketing department has a full plate with robust targets to hit. Communicating clearly, self-starting, collaborating, and keeping calm under competing high-priority deadlines are all table stakes. You will be expected to manage campaigns and initiatives and develop programs and processes as needed. You’ll jump in and work together across teams, but you can also look forward to owning your own projects and their results. * Beyond that, we’re all utility players, and this is the first of several planned hires in 2016. We need someone who knows their own strengths, can ramp up quickly, be trusted with critical tasks with minimal oversight, and has an understanding of our corporate audience. So this is not a role for someone just beginning their content marketing career. * But past that, what we most care about is skillsets, attitude, and results. We value the ability to figure it out and get it done well a whole lot more than credentials or specific years/types of experience. What we’d like you to get across in your cover letter is a sense of what type of marketer are you. Are you data driven? Are you really great at facilitating brainstorming? Is making the most of paid media your favorite thing?
