Summary
The Business Analyst assumes responsibility for Project Management functions. He She supports the Executive Director with the design and creation of analytic and evaluative projects which measure or quantify the impact or effectiveness of facility programs and business processes. He She will apply a broad range of creative problem-solving skills, combining financial, technical and analytical excellence to synthesize conclusions into recommendations and work with the Executive Director to implement change. He She will assist the Executive Director with financial and economic analysis of strategy development initiatives and will take a lead role in compiling corporate reporting requirements for budgeting and forecasting of business expansion projects.
Responsibilities
* Assists the Executive Director with developing, recommending and monitoring the operating budget for the Facility. * Collaborates with function/department managers on effective variance reporting and corrective action to ensure conformity with the budget. * Maintains appropriate financial/statistical performance data, and produces meaningful reports to monitor, evaluate, and improve financial and operational performance. * Applies statistical tools and techniques to healthcare-related data in order to study past situations (i.e., operational performance or clinical outcomes) to improve the quality and efficiency of clinical and business processes and performance. * Promotes fact-based decision making and management through accurate, timely and readily available data. * Facilitates the introduction and implementation of information systems to improve business operations, including Business Intelligence software with on-demand access to reporting and dashboard applications. * Utilizes the latest techniques (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, and process simulation modeling) to analyze and design processes which will result in a dramatic improvement in throughput, accuracy and staff satisfaction. * Develops and carries out cost containment strategies. Provides leadership with appropriate information as the basis for sound business decisions.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years experience and the ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions
