Food safety and nutrition are major public health challenges that are integrated in public health policies in many countries. More broadly, protecting health entails the security of products that could, in their daily use, risk the health of consumers. To address those challenges, Institut Mérieux developed Mérieux NutriSciences.
Responsibilities
* Oversee global laboratory applications that support internal business processes. * Develop IT budget and systems roadmap to meet business goals. * Provide vision, strategy and leadership for the evolution of the enterprise LIMS application portfolio. * Partner effectively with peers spanning all aspects of release, quality and ongoing operations to drive best-in-class results. * Provide advisory and hands-on technology leadership in resolution of complex business and technology issues. * Build high-performance teams by driving development and growth of current and future leadership talent, providing clear expectations and direction. * Ensure key goals are being delivered by developing and maintain a performance-driven approach to managing the team and the services provided. * Serve as a member of the extended IT leadership team to guide IT strategy and approaches. * Lead the process of continuous improvement to design and implement process improvements across laboratory systems.
Ideal Candidate
* The incumbent should have a demonstrated record of implementing enterprise laboratory systems (LIMS). * Experience in Center of Excellence or Competency Center delivery models. * Experience working in a global company and designing an running a global team. * Knowledge of application architecture of information systems. * 10 – 15 years of relevant experience in systems management including systems design * Minimum 7 years technical leadership role responsible for developers, architects, and QA in both a COTS and custom development environment * Proven capability to deliver technology in both insourced and outsourced models with the ability to transition between the two as defined by strategy. * Strong project management and team management skills such as planning, budgeting, people management etc. * Demonstrated understanding of laboratory processes: sample management, instrument integration. * Possess a positive attitude and be able to multitask on several projects simultaneously. * The ability to interact with all levels of the organization is necessary to be able to complete all tasks effectively.
