Our Company
ArchCare cares for people of all ages and faiths where they are most comfortable and best able to receive it – at home, in the community and in nursing homes. As the Continuing Care Community of the Archdiocese of New York, we see enhancing the lives of our elders and others who need extra help to stay healthy and live life to its fullest as more than just a job. To us, it’s a privilege and our calling. From introducing the concept of palliative care in the late 19th century, to our launch of innovative home and community-based programs and healthcare plans, ArchCare and its predecessors have been responding to New Yorkers’ evolving health and social needs for more than 100 years. With more and more families seeking alternatives to traditional nursing homes, we have transformed ourselves from a provider of institutional care for the frail elderly into a growing and dynamic continuing care community that serves thousands of people of all ages and faiths each day in their homes, in the community and in our nursing homes. ArchCare offers a seamless continuum of care that makes it easy to move from one level of care or care setting to another as health needs change. Individuals who require less medical supervision receive care in their own familiar surroundings from ArchCare’s home care nurses, aides and therapists. Even those who require more intensive support can continue to live independently or with family members and still get the medical, social and other attention they need 24/7 from ArchCare’s health plans. Short-term rehabilitation or palliative care? We have that covered, too, along with dignified, family-centered end-of-life care and highly specialized care for people with complex medical needs. And our social workers and nurse managers are there every step of the way to explain all the options and provide emotional support.Skills We're Looking For
