Summary
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Affinity business group within Aon Risk Solutions.
Responsibilities
* Manage the cash applications functions to ensure quality, timely application of all cash including needed research and problem resolution. * Manage the payments of refunds, commissions payables, and carrier payables including needed research and anlaysis to resolve issues. * Manage the monthly closing functions for the premium accounting system while ensuring data integrity. * Work with business partners on projects as they relate to cash receipts, cash disbursements, balancing, billing and other customer relations. * Manage a team of individuals by providing direction, mentoring, work distribution, etc. * Coordinate with business unit departments (Finance, Operations and Information Systems) to implement system changes and updates * Work with management and executive teams to resolve technical and functional issues and participate in finance systems and business process improvement projects * Manage projects and implementations including requirements, testing and process implications. * Develop, utilize and report metrics for work done by the accounting operations team. * Coach, mentor, train, develop and provide guidance to staff. * Manage staff strategically utilizing performance metrics. * Other functions as needed and assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Education and/or Experience:** Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, Mathematics or Business preferred. **Prior Experience to include:** * Minimum of 5 to 7 years of customer service, accounting or finance work related experience. Knowledge of standard accounting systems procedures beneficial. * Proven effective managerial and leadership skills in being flexible, creative, team-oriented, and process driven. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of Affinity staff. * Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. * Ability to identify and analyze process needs with solid problem-solving abilities.
