Summary
Reporting to the Controller, Reformation is looking for an Accounting Manager responsible for general ledger management, account reconciliation, cash receipts processing, depreciation and accruals, and preliminary monthly accounting cycle closing.
Responsibilities
* Prepare supporting schedules for monthly close and month-end account reconciliations and follow-up on any unusual items. * Preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation * Provide audit support schedules for both internal and external audits * Ensure GAAP requirements & Standards and Best Practice are being adhered to appropriately. * Assist in improving accounting processes and leveraging technology to create efficiencies * Assist the Controller in the daily treasury requirements. * Assist with financial and tax audits * Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department. * Work with the production department to track product costing and ensure that the margins are accurate. * Responds to inquiries from the Controller, VP of Finance and CFO regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.
Ideal Candidate
**Experience And Skills:** * Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance * Completion of a professional accounting designation (CPA / CGA / CMA) * 5+ years accounting/finance experience * Advanced working knowledge of Excel and strong database skills * Working knowledge of QuickBooks * Strong financial acumen and analytical agility **Preferred Skills:** * Detail oriented, organized and able to meet tight deadlines * Hands-on or entrepreneurial attitude, results driven, prefers to work in a fast paced dynamic environment * Self-starter - ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish * Proven prioritization, time management and project management skills * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
