Summary
Under minimal supervision, manages all aspects of accounts payable for ACS CAN including Purchase card processing, Intercompany Transfer of funds. Interacts with vendors and ACS CAN business owners to ensure payments are in compliance with contract terms and is intimately familiar with the ACS CAN accounting structure.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for processing of accounts payable and purchase card (pcard) transactions ensuring necessary compliance with procedures and contract. * Monitors ACS CAN invoice mailbox for timely processing of vendor payments. * Maintain open communication with vendors. * Receives and distributes ACS CAN mail ensuring proper distribution of invoices and checks * Batch checks for processing * Researches internal and external inquiries regarding status of invoices and payments * Provides accounting support for monthly reconciliations including the close out of the monthly pcard statement. * Assists in the development and distribution of internal analysis and reports * Supports the annual ACS CAN year end close procedures, the external audit, and tax and compliance reporting. * Assists finance/operations team with inventory control processes and procedures. * PAF’s for new employees to ensure they are set up in the appropriate accounting systems. * Provide other accounting and operations administrative support.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in accounting principles or an equivalent combination of accounting knowledge and experience. * Skills * Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. * Records maintenance skills. * Knowledge of office management principles and procedures. * Knowledge and understanding of ACS CAN organization structure, workflow, and operating procedures. * Information research, analysis, and evaluation skills. * Knowledge of administrative policies and procedures. * Familiar with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures. * Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications especially Microsoft Excel. * 1 - 3 Years experience
