Summary
Allstate Management Consulting Services (AMCS) is an internal consulting organization leveraging the talents of diverse team members. AMCS provides integrated consulting services to Allstate Business Partners to enable the achievement of OUR SHARED VISION, objectives and goals. AMCS is an advisory partner that helps improve Allstate performance by identifying and analyzing business opportunities, architecting new operating models, designing and improving business processes and providing other general management consulting services. **Scope of the Job:** This position reports in a matrix structure to a manger. The position is responsible for leading and supporting client engagements in the role of a delivery leader.The ideal candidate will be technically proficient in consulting skills, process documentation, facilitation, Six Sigma or process improvement frame works and possess dynamic presentation skills, be goal oriented and self motivated.
Responsibilities
* Develops positive relationships based on trust with business and technology partners, effectively communicating across teams, departments, business partners, and users.Defines appropriate relationships within the organization to support project delivery. * Communicates effectively in challenging and complex situations. Presents complicated information with efficiency, delivering a message that resonates with the audience. * Builds greater depth in knowledge of management consulting tools and methodologies in specific areas and understands how and when to apply them. * Integrates management consulting subject matter expertise with external practices, design principles and business knowledge to form new perspectives and ideas. * Contributes to thinking and thought leadership in the internal management consulting community.Possesses cross-functional awareness; understands the different contributions from other disciplines and work with colleagues from across the organization to achieve better results. * Identifies risks and issues that are internal and external to the engagement and mitigate where possible.Documents and tracks resolution of engagement risks and issues.Resolves and escalates risks and issues as appropriate.Counsels clients and manages the resolutions of issues and monitors client satisfaction of delivery. * Candidate Expectations include intermediate level skills in the following competencies: * Business Acumen, Facilitation, Problem Solving, Project Management, Strategic Thinking, Thriving in Change * Business Transformation, Change Management, Competitive Intelligence, Process Design, Six Sigma, General Management Consulting
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college * 5 - 8 years of experience consulting in a service industry * 5 - 8 years of business experience in a services sector business (insurance, financial services, etc.) * Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills * Ability to build relationships, create organizational credibility, and demonstrate a high degree of business acumen **Computer Proficiency Required:** * Expert skills in MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Web-X or virtual tools * Experience in Access is a plus **Education:** * College – Required
