Summary
The Sales Operations team manages all operational aspects of Akamai’s Global Sales organization. These include such activities as revenue and productivity planning, reporting and analyzing key performance metrics, and developing processes within the organization to drive efficiency gains. The Sales Operations team is responsible for both general business management and the business intelligence environment for Sales. The Sales Operations Intern will report directly to the Senior Manager of Sales Process and Analytics. The role will be an integral part of the Sales Operations functions and will aid in understanding the key drivers of cost, scale, productivity, efficiency and profitability for Akamai’s Global Sales organization. The Sales Operations Co-op will also use analysis to make data driven-recommendations for operational improvements and meaningful insights into the business.
Responsibilities
* Generate analysis in order to make data driven recommendations for operational improvements. * Participate in and generate business presentations for Global Sales Senior Management. * Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis related to ongoing business and timely situations (acquisitions, organizational changes, shifts in business trends, ROI on investments and major initiatives).
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** * Currently pursuing a Bachelors and Masters degree and returning to the program after completion of the internship. * 6+ months working in an office environment. * 1+ years academic experience with advanced Excel skills (fluency with SUM IFS, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data filters). * 1+ years academic experience with Data Modeling (charts, tables, etc.) and Decision Making. **Desired Qualifications:** * Intellectual curiosity and a desire to be challenged. * Ability to work with data sets across the business and transform into actionable analytics. * High capacity and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment – a self-starter
Compensation and Working Conditions
Reports to Senior Manager of Sales Process and Analytics.
