Summary
An Analyst – Payroll Tax Job in Jacksonville, Florida is currently available courtesy of Accounting Principals. To be considered for this direct hire opportunity, you must have experience with preparing and delivering all federal, state and local payroll related tax payments/ reconciliation’s and ensures compliance to all legal guidelines. Looking to pay between 43K – 46K. * Work for a large, stable company * Central location convenient to all areas of Jacksonville
Responsibilities
**The Analyst – Payroll Tax Job Responsibilities:** * Prepares, state and local payroll tax returns for the corporation and its subsidiaries within the company, as well as the reconciliation of such returns. * Helps to ensure Payroll Tax Departments compliance with all legal guidelines * Prepares and ensures timely remittance of all federal, state and local payroll taxes in accordance with the payroll tax compliance schedule * Implements yearly company reorganizations and acquisitions plans with the various federal, state and local taxing agencies * Prepares reconciles and analyzes all general ledger withholding accounts. * Works with Accounting and Corporate Tax Department in preparation for State and Local tax audits * Interfaces with Payroll Centers to follow up on inquiries regarding payroll tax related issues * Investigates and responds to payroll notices and inquiries from state and local government agencies * Prepares and reports on multiple work-site reports and other statistical data for various Federal, State and Local authorities on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis * Keeps abreast of changes in payroll tax laws. Interfaces with the Company’s corporate, and divisional, payroll centers and field offices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal guidelines
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 2 years tax accounting experience required * Bachelor’s degree preferred * Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax rules and the preparation of returns * Proficiency in Excel, Word, and working in the web * PeopleSoft experience desired * Effective communication and presentation skills also required
