Tax Accounting Manager

The Tax Accounting Manager is responsible for preparation/review of corporate tax compliance and provision functions related to federal, international, state and local tax. In addition, this individual will assist in strategic planning, research, management reporting, acquisition and divestiture due diligence reviews, and other special projects as required. * Prepare global consolidated provision for interim and annual reporting purposes with a full understanding of the global tax provision rules * Prepare/review reconciliation of Federal and state tax accounts * Prepare/review financial analysis of related tax matters as required * Prepare/review income tax compliance returns and workpapers including federal proforma returns, federal consolidated income tax return, state and local income/franchise tax returns, and estimated income tax payments * Prepare/review Section 199 calculation, R&D tax credit, and other complex calculations for domestic tax return * Research and draft technical memoranda on various tax issues as required * Remain current on latest tax law and monitor legislative changes * Maintain compliance with SOX controls and related policies * Work with financial management and staff involved in tax related matters * Assist in corporate acquisition and divestiture due diligence reviews as it relates to tax matters * Assist with review of international forms (5471 and 8858s) * Assist in strategic tax planning and implementation processes * Assist with planning and implementing changes in the tax and financial accounting systems * Assist with training, developing, and mentoring tax staff * Develop strong working relationships with finance and treasury teams involved in tax related matters * Develop strong working relationships with other cross-functional teams as necessary * Performs other duties as assigned

* Possess high ethical standards and integrity, as well as maintain good working relationships with all employees, management, and executives * Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, management, and leadership team * Possess strong technical tax provision skillset * Possess strong drive for results and execution skills * Possess strong project management skills, with proven ability to complete projects with minimal supervision * Ability to operate in a fast paced challenging environment. * Ability to identify and implement process improvements. * Possess a passion for growth and learning. * Possess a desire to grow within the organization. * Demonstrate and foster a can-do spirit and sense of optimism **Required Experience** * BS in Accounting or similar field required – MBA or MST strongly preferred * 4+ years tax experience in manufacturing or public accounting; or any combination of experience, education, and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required * A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is desirable **The following are desirable skills for a candidate:** * income/franchise tax, sales and use tax, payroll tax, excise tax provisions and other statutory authority * Knowledge and experience with dynamic information systems; their processing capabilities and procedures * Knowledge and experience with standard office software such as Microsoft Office as well as enterprise software such as HFM and BNA or other research software * Ability to design efficient and effective spreadsheets as well as utilize current technology communications software * Experience with CORPTax software and Longview Tax Provision software a plus
