Summary
The Learning Dept. Area Manager will be an essential member of the Operations leadership team in support of the entire FC. He/she will own the onboarding process for all new hires, be responsible for establishing training materials for all FC processes, will team with relevant partners to develop and execute a continuous training plan to meet FC needs, will establish reporting to keep the business informed of performance against the ongoing training plan, and will champion problem solving activities to close gaps when targets are not achieved.
Responsibilities
* Develop and manage the overall strategy for training of FC material processing associates by establishing standard training materials for all processes affecting customer experience from the arrival of product to its exit via carrier partners. * Be a key partner in supporting the development of professional associates and leaders. * Directly supervise learning leads, admins on all shifts. * Establish relationship with financial partners and react to the business’ changing needs based on FC processing volume requirements. * Establish and continually improve associate accountability and incentive programs to help struggling operators improve and recognize excellent performers. * Establish, use internal tools to connect FC performance to MOM’s experience and do what is needed to help the FC exceed the customer’s expectations. * Establish a Learning Dept. organization that can flex with the company’s growth and objectives. * Coach, mentor, train and review performance of direct reports. Evaluate and adjust activities to continually meet company’s targets and business plan objectives. * Establish performance goals for Learning Dept and all relevant professional staff that are directly tied to company strategic and performance goals. * Establish positive working relationships with key partners within the organization to achieve company’s goals and targets. * Act with and foster a culture reflective of the company’s values. * Use developed reporting to advise key partners and FC management of necessary reactive and proactive measures to protect MOM’s experience from exposure to problems caused by errors in processing. *
Ideal Candidate
**Preferred:** * Bachelors degree with business management or logistics focus **Experience:** * Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role desired * An expert in the development of training materials for associates at any level within the fulfillment center * Demonstrated leader of others in a fast paced operations or manufacturing environment * Proven record of taking process improvements or changes and implementing relevant training for associates affected by the change * Able to establish and maintain financial and manpower budgets with accountability * Experience with problem solving methodologies **Skills:** * Strong analytical skills, including problem solving, root cause analysis, kaizen, etc. * Proficiency with all facets of MS Office Suite * Ability to lead both subordinates and peers to improve MOM’s experience * Ability to work effectively with employees from all levels within the company * Strong project management skills * Ability to work with associates from varying cultures * Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-moving environment * Able to develop and deliver presentations to all levels of audience within the company
