Database Developer

The Database Developer is accountable to Develop, Support and Maintain SQL Server databases and SSIS Packages

• Design, develop, test and support SQL Server database objects and extended stored procedures
• Perform technical analysis of application requirements and write technical specifications for SQL Server SSIS applications that may involve multiple components across applications and platforms
• Design, develop, test and support SSIS packages and SQL Agent Jobs using Visual Studio, T-SQL and .NET.
• Create and update project plans for small to medium to define and report progress, identify project risks, notify stakeholder and work with other team members to complete assigned tasks as defined by project scope, timeline and budget
• Follow established methodologies, standards and practices
• Provide recommendations for future improvements, functionality and technology to support business processes

• 2-3 years of experience developing .NET and SQL Server 2012 applications with web services using T-SQL, .NET and Visual Studio
• Supporting development of SQL Server databases with DDL, DML, Performance Analysis and Design
• Developing SSIS packages that include calling Web Services using T-SQL, .NET and Visual Studio
• Creating SQL Agent tasks

Preferred:

• Experience with SQL Server 2014
• Parallel knowledge of Oracle database management

• Business or Technical School (AA Desired) or Equivalent
