Opportunity to work on a small development team to build and maintain critical Starbucks retail related applications. Tasks will include enhancement and maintenance development for Microsoft .NET based applications, including ASP.NET MVC and Web API projects. Other opportunities may include hybrid app development using Ionic Framework, backend systems engineering using ElasticSearch, LogStash, and Kibana, and other .NET based development work. Looking for someone with a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and a curiosity to find the best way to solve problems.
- Enhancement and maintenance development for existing applications.
- Adherence to existing team software development guidelines.
- Assist with production issues, which may include investigation and resolution implementation.
- Build new applications to support Starbucks retail systems.
- Write and/or update technical documentation for existing applications and systems.
- Analyzing, diagnosing and proposing solutions to technical application issues
- Application development and programming experience with .NET technologies
- Providing support to various business applications
- Working with process owners and identifying information technology solutions that enable business process improvements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Solid foundation of software engineering principles
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Proficient in .NET application development utilizing C#
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Resourceful team player who builds trusting relationships with customers and team members
- Understanding of OO principles, Design Patterns and Software Extensibility Model
Experience with the following required:
- ASP.NET MVC
- ASP.NET Web API
- Desktop application development
- Windows services development
- SQL
- Visual Studio
Experience with the following helpful:
- Hybrid application development
