Summary
Work Market is seeking a strong Business Development Manager to evaluate and execute on strategic opportunities. This position is based in New York City and will support Work Market's Corporate Development & Strategic Alliances activities. You will be on a small team responsible for identifying and supporting strategic partnerships that contribute and impact growth. You will act as the primary contact in supporting Work Market's business units and senior leadership by conducting industry research, valuation analyses, due diligence, creation of strategic presentations/recommendations, and both internal and external relationship building. You will be responsible for raising Work Market’s deal-making profile in the region. The ideal candidate is creative, enjoys thinking strategically, and is able to maintain a network of relationships that facilitate deal flow.
Responsibilities
* Identify opportunities to maximize existing relationships in terms of revenue generation and form new partnerships to benefit the company and Work Market users * Support existing Work Market partnerships to generate quality experience for our users while balancing the needs of our partners and our overall goals as a company * Research, analyze and develop financial models to the estimate potential value of opportunities (e.g. market sizing, ROI, valuation, etc. * Work with internal teams (product, sales and marketing) to ensure there is organizational understanding and support for deals and strategic partnerships * Draft and execute agreements, working closely with legal counsel on all contract matters * Project manage deals and help facilitate post-deal implementation * Work with internal teams (product, sales and marketing) to ensure there is organizational understanding and support for deals and strategic partnerships * Draft and execute agreements, working closely with legal counsel on all contract matters * Project manage deals and help facilitate post-deal implementation
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree * 4+ years of technology business or corporate development experience with SaaS experience a plus * History of successfully completing high level negotiations * Ability to manage projects of varying size and scope simultaneously while prioritizing appropriately to achieve results and meet or exceed goals * Ability to effectively liaison with both internal technical, product and marketing teams * Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation experience * Strong analytical and proven problem-solving skills are a key requirement * Self-starter and ability to work independently
