Summary
The Social Media Marketing Manager works in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team to create and publish content that engages our target audiences and encourages readers to share with their social networks, driving brand recognition for Westfield Insurance. Plans and implements marketing strategies and campaigns through social media optimization; builds, maintains and enhances Westfield’s digital presence on social media platform. Manages the social media monitoring software for our social media platforms. Provides first line of engagement to identify, triage and collaborate with the appropriate business units to help resolve negative posts and promote positive ones with a focus on reputational risk management.
Responsibilities
* Works in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team to create and publish content that engages our target audiences and encourages readers to share with their social networks, driving brand recognition for Westfield Insurance. 2. Plans and implements marketing strategies and campaigns through social media optimization; builds, maintains and enhances Westfield’s digital presence on social media platform. 3. Manages the social media monitoring software for our social media platforms. Provides first line of engagement to identify, triage and collaborate with the appropriate business units to help resolve negative posts and promote positive ones with a focus on reputational risk management. 4. Works closely with all Marketing leaders in support of the execution of digital marketing strategies, ensuring campaign related digital strategies complement the brand, communications and overall business strategies, goals and objectives. 5. Responsible and accountable for building, maintaining, and enhancing Westfield’s presence on the social media platform. 6. Reviews, analyzes, and summarizes social media metric reports. Provides suggestions and feedback to enhance social media efforts. 7. Leverages content and seizes opportunities to ensure social media platforms are optimized and effective. Recommends solutions that enhance overall program performance. Collects and applies lessons learned across the organization. 8. Manages and supports Westfield sponsored blogs in collaboration with Marketing and Communications team members in support of business communication and marketing strategies. 9. Works with Corporate Communications to establish standards, policies and best practices for social media platforms that inform and drive Westfield’s social media policy. 10. Establishes and maintains relationships with social media members, bloggers and the online community. 11. Supports the collection of lessons learned, transferring knowledge across the organization. 12. Manages special projects as requested for the department. 13. Travels occasionally in order to participate in special assignments, training, and/or travel between office locations.
Ideal Candidate
* 2-3 years of experience managing social media platforms within a corporate environment. 2. Demonstrated working knowledge of the latest social media platforms, trends, web technologies and tools. 3. Understanding of reputation management, brand protection and crisis intervention through social media. 4. Experience managing fast-breaking online issues effectively. 5. Proven ability to manage projects of various size, scope and budget. 6. Ability to build effective business partnerships through strong collaboration, consultative ability, creative problem solving, negotiation skills and ability to effectively influence others to achieve results despite barriers. 7. Must be customer-minded and delivery focused and demonstrate the ability to persevere to deliver solutions that impact the business positively. 8. Strong organizational and communication skills, including written, verbal and interpersonal skills. 9. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business or related field ORcommensurate experience. 10. Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards. **Physical Requirements(specific to the role)** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week---including sitting, standing and working on a computer for extended periods of time. * Ability to communication effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as: telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, email etc. * Ability to travel as required.
