Summary
Manages a queue containing electronic and paper documentation relative to bond reportings, endorsements, and cancellations. Reviews and processes new bonds, renewals, and endorsements, including manual and automated rating, coding, and data entry. Calculates and processes additional or return premiums for endorsements and cancellations. Maintains established quality and service level standards.
Responsibilities
* Manages a queue containing electronic and paper documentation relative to bond reportings, endorsements, and cancellations. * Reviews and processes new bonds, renewals, and endorsements which include manual and automated rating, coding, and data entry. Documents and tracks files as appropriate, maintaining established quality and service level standards. * Calculates and processes additional or return premiums for endorsements and cancellations. * Determines proper commission breakdowns. * Assists underwriters/managers with processing related administrative tasks, including, but not limited to: answering underwriting and coding questions and premium discrepancy reconciliation. Uses judgment in dealing with exceptions created by the various underwriting territorial differences. * Communicates with agents, agent’s customers, field office/home office personnel and various federal, state and municipal offices by telephone and/or written correspondence. * Updates, organizes and maintains department filing system including pending system. * Maintains rating, classification and entry manuals as assigned. * Maintains an operating knowledge of Westfield’s systems and tools. * Interprets coverage of various non-standard bond forms. Selects appropriate bond forms and prepares bonds as directed by manager or underwriter. * Prepares and reviews applications and other legal documents. * Travels occasionally in order to participate in special assignments, training, and/or travel between office locations.
Ideal Candidate
* High school diploma, GED, or demonstrated commensurate experience. * Strong Attention to Detail. * Demonstrated good customer service skills. * Demonstrated clerical skills and data entry skills including: typing accurately. * Demonstrated experience using Windows Explorer and Microsoft Office Suite Products. * Demonstrated good communication and organizational skills. * Demonstrated effective Time Management skills. * Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.
