UX Research Lead

VSCO® is an art and technology company empowering and inspiring people everywhere to create, discover, and connect. Founded in 2011, VSCO is based in Oakland, CA, and is the parent company to Denver-based printing outpost, Artifact Uprising.

VSCO is looking for its first UX/Research expert to join our Product Design team. You will work collaboratively with the Product, Engineering and Brand teams and dive deep into the needs and wants of our users in in order to help turn your insights into a beautiful and seamless experience for our international community of passionate users.

* Work closely with the Product and Product Design teams to distill complicated problems into simple, minimal solutions * Develop product design concepts and execute them quickly * Think strategically about the product, business, and UI/UX * Actively help define and iterate on VSCO’s product design language and methodology and clearly cascade information related to research to relevant teams

**Qualifications** * 3+ years of progressive expertise in user experience, interaction design, and building prototypes for a consumer facing product * Ability to balance true creativity, the needs of the business, and what is best for our users and community * Solid working knowledge of the latest design tools * Experience designing, planning and implementing comprehensive user research practices * Strong understanding of technical limitations, and an ability to advocate for concepts cross-functionally * A love for making things beautiful and usable **Nice to have** * Programming and coding experience * A deep appreciation for photography and other aspects of the arts would be greatly valued
