Summary
Viator is seeking a Payments Manager to join our growing Finance organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance Operations, the ideal candidate is someone with extensive global payments experience, who is comfortable working autonomously but can also build consensus and create alignment among stakeholders. The Payments Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with existing payment processors as well as driving integration efforts with new ones.
Responsibilities
* Manage third party payment relationships and identify opportunities for consolidation, cost reduction, and quality improvement. * Monitor payment system performance and identify, track, and communicate key metrics to senior management. * Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Legal to develop business requirements that would improve payment systems or address payment related problems. * Facilitate the strategic planning and operational implementation of payment initiatives including adding new forms of payments, processors, and acquiring banks. * Project manage integration of new processors or forms of payment by working with Accounting, Fraud, Legal, Engineering, Product, Marketing, and other stakeholders to ensure inputs are gathered and deliverables completed on time in order for project plan to remain on track. * Lead RFP processes and negotiate payment-related contracts including business and technical terms. * Provide input on fraud 3rd party tools such as 3D, device fingerprinting, etc to help reduce chargeback rates. * Partner with business owners to determine specific currency and market opportunities, analyze costs and benefits, and then present a business case to leadership.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of professional experience and a successful track record of managing global payment systems for a highly regarded e-commerce business. The successful candidate will possess the following skills: * Deep industry knowledge of GLOBAL CNP and alternate forms of global payments * Extensive experience working and negotiating with external payment partners and vendors * A proven ability to build consensus among stakeholders and work with cross-functionally to successfully implement payment initiatives * Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to work with people at all levels within the organization * An in-depth understanding of the technical and compliance aspects and requirements of payment products and services * Experience with, or knowledge of, foreign exchange fees, foreign currencies, and country-specific forms of payment. * Ability to pull and analyze large sets of data, make logical assumptions where data is sparse, and provide conclusions and recommendations to key stakeholders. * Experience in the travel space, a payments processing company, or ecommerce is preferred but not required * BA or BS degree or higher
