Summary
The VC/PE Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing partnerships and Alliances for TriNet focused primarily on Venture Capital and Private Equity – key skill tied to the relationship management aspect. The Business Development Manager owns and oversees multiple aspects of the relationships with TriNet business partners, including business planning, strategic account planning sessions, opportunity and risk management, field communications, marketing integration and senior management engagement. Must collaborate and co-own partner relationships with TriNet sales organization. Must coordinate with the TriNet sales organization and other internal departments to schedule and satisfy relationship requirements. This role provides autonomy and an opportunity to influence and impact TriNet’s future growth.
Responsibilities
- Approve TriNetConnect partner applications - Enroll, enable and activate new TriNet partners - Manage all aspects of partner relationships, in co-ownership and collaboration with the TriNet sales organization - Ensure that all partners are fully covered when there are changes in the sales organization and the sales consultant that co-owns the partner moves or leaves - Manage partner lead generation process, manage the generation to close process - Communicate partner business initiatives, success, joint business plans and value propositions to the TriNet field - Create business plans with partners, in conjunction with the TriNet sales organization, and track its execution progress - Track partner metrics on a regional and vertical basis - Create cross-border and geographical awareness, communication of activities and knowledge sharing - Maintain geographical and vertical scorecards tied to mutual goals - If necessary, act as escalation point only to track and identify process to avoid these escalations from happening in the future - Coordinate the creation of reusable enablement events to be executed on a regional basis - Coordinate the creation and execution of enablement programs - Forecast overall partner program goals and metrics - Lead pipeline calls with partner constituents by geography and industry - Participate on Regional Sales calls - Work with TriNet regional sales leaders to pro-actively ensure that sales consultants interact with partners on specific deal basis to ensure that we leverage partner relationships - Provide partner quotes as needed and if necessary - Provide TriNet management with information on lead generation programs and results, including Partner sourced leads - Assist in Develop collateral, success stories, press releases, etc. - Assist the Channel Marketing team in planning and execution of regional demand generation events - Build regional and vertical partner executive awareness - Ensure Rules of Engagement with business partners are communicated and adhered to - Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion. - Research and recruit prospective TriNet VC/PE partners
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * BA or BS degree in a business-related field. * MBA preferred * Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): **Experience:** - Minimum 2 years of experience in Venture Capital or Private Equity. - Experience in the HR outsourcing and/or Technology industries desired. - Account planning facilitation skills. - Sales or marketing experience preferred. - Ability to structure mutually beneficial partnerships with target organizations. - Strong executive level selling and relationship skills. - Consistent strong performance in attaining and exceeding objectives. - Excellent creativity and problem solving abilities. - Experience working with Sales people in the field. - Strong relationship management skills. - Superior oral and written communication skills. - Strong writing skills. - Strong proficiency using MS Office Suite (documents, presentations, spreadsheets) and reporting tools like SalesForce.com. **Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** - Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization. - Knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws. - Excellent interpersonal skills. - Excellent presentation and facilitation skills. - A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace. - Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities. - Works well in team environment. - Demonstrated ability to structure mutually beneficial partnerships with target organizations. - Strong executive level selling and relationship skills.
