Summary
With excellent sales momentum and an aggressive growth plan, Fitbit Wellness is looking for a Business Development Manager to focus on growth within the West Region, enterprise employer segment. This position is responsible for securing new business from direct employer opportunities -- for cultivating relationships with prospects, closing deals, and achieving individual and team-based revenue targets. The role would have direct responsibility for working with organizations in a consultative fashion, helping companies see how Fitbit integrated solutions can help them meet their health and wellness goals in order to facilitate sales of the Fitbit Wellness corporate solution. The right candidate will have excellent presentation and pitching experience, proven business development skills, and a passion for the wearable technology space and helping companies increase employee health and wellness. The BD Manager will focus on the growth of Fitbit Wellness within large organizations, introducing Fitbit enterprise programs directly to employers and organizations in the population health management space. The role will be an outward facing representative for Fitbit and will be comfortable interacting at a high level with corporate leaders, helping build wellness programs and supporting partnerships in joint sales calls, as well as managing the complete lifecycle of Fitbit client relationships. The BD Manager will also be responsible for developing a go-to market strategy and business plan to significantly growth the enterprise contribution to topline revenue via a targeted and specific marketing plan including conferences & events, and other initiatives to grow and streamline our direct sales activities into the enterprise marketplace. The BD Manager will provide feedback to the product team on market response to our solution- including products, software, and services. The BD Manager will also have the opportunity to provide consultation & feedback on future wellness solution development as part of the Fitbit Wellness team.
Responsibilities
* Function as the representative face of Fitbit at trade shows, events, and partner presentations (some travel required) * Identify and follow-up on business leads and targets * Identify sales opportunities and act as a supportive liaison with our partners in joint sales requests * Evaluate the effectiveness of current market programs and strategies * Drive efficiencies in the enterprise sales cycle, from lead generation through contract closures & renewals * Maintain marketing outreach points, both internal and external, for enterprise customers * Overachieve on both individual as well as team-based revenue goals
Ideal Candidate
* At least 5 years of experience in a business development or sales-focused role, primarily within the industry of health and wellness, as an outward facing representative of the company * Experience in selling and implementing health centered programs or services in a B2B focused environment * Experience with account management, preferably in a high-tech organization * Attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and work independently as a self-starter * Good judgment in evaluating opportunities, strong communication skills and follow through * Familiarity and experience working with Salesforce.com * Proven history of overachieving on individual and team-based revenue goals * B.S. degree required from an accredited 4-year institution * MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
