Summary
As our Director, Sales Development, you’ll be juggling a broad set of responsibilities in a fast-moving environment. But that’s why this job is for you - you can handle this in your sleep. You’re exceptionally detail-oriented, data-driven, super organized, and can manage people, processes and technology effectively while overseeing our sales development team and facilitating their journey to a career in sales with TrackMaven.
Responsibilities
**SDR leadership responsibilities:** * Develop goals and metrics for Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) * Regularly review team performance against metrics and assigned goals * Develop tools and strategies to maximize goal attainment; regularly adjust and refine process to ensure that goals are met consistently. * Execute on marketing campaigns and lead follow-up campaigns with target accounts/contacts on a systematic basis * Collaborate on the SDR/demand generation strategy and tactics * Directly supervise local staff, and collaborate in the supervision of remote (contractor) staff * Conduct weekly meetings with each team member, regularly reviewing their progress towards goals * Recruit additional members to the SDR/Demand Generation team * Coordinate and lead team training **SDR team outbound development:** * Introduce team best practices for prospecting to find new qualified opportunities for field sales and create awareness and need for Competitive Intelligence for Digital Marketers * Facilitate, direct, and support the SDR team’s ability to analyze customer needs in terms of current business goals, challenges and obstacles while also identifying opportunities that lead them to TrackMaven for their Marketing Analytics needs. * Direct and support SDR team’s ability to engage with executives and others at target accounts in order to cultivate business opportunities * Ensure team productivity that includes consistent attainment of 60+ outbound calls per day, 2.5 hours of talk time and/or the targeted email and social connection equivalent
Ideal Candidate
* Five years of team supervision experience, especially in a demand generation, inside-sales or telesales role with a SaaS company * A minimum of one year of experience managing team leads, supervisors and/or managers * Previous experiences in social, ecommerce or SaaS is a big plus * Experience selling to marketing leaders, executives and business owners preferred * Ability to create scalable and repeatable processes that lead to consistent and predictive results * Energetic, upbeat, tenacious team player and leader * High-caliber cold calling skills are a must, and an intimate knowledge of best practices that ensure that the team members are both compelling and relevant over the phones * High achiever with a track record of success * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Expert working knowledge of Salesforce.com is required * Great time management and prioritization skills * Very organized, detail-oriented and persistent
