Summary
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships between the Engineering organization and the Technical Operations organization. The role will ensure that Time Warner Cable provides the best level of service possible to our customers and that we continue to implement new technologies in order to remain competitive. The role has direct oversite and accountability for all hub engineering operations and matrix accountability for all local engineering operations including; implementation coordination, change communication, deconfliction across schedules, building timelines, quality assurance, escalation management, point of contact on significant outages and budget planning and development. The role will be the market liaison between the Technical Operations group and all Engineering functions including; FNEO (Field Network Engineering Organizations), Critical Infrastructure, ACOE, COSC, Access Network, HSD Operations and NOC.
Responsibilities
Direct oversight and responsibility for all hub operations in assigned market area. Including but not limited to; planning and execution of new service equipment installations, provisioning distribution in hubs, execution of node, laser and service group expansions based on customer and utilization growth, development and execution of preventative maintenance program for hub edge equipment and development and execution of emergency restoration program for hub edge equipment, break/fix, driving improvement in overall hub metrics such as MTTR (mean time to repair) and provide technical operations support.Point of contact (POC) on major outages. Coordinates efforts of FNEO (Field Network Engineering Organization), including hub, construction and commercial engineering and operations in resolution of the outage. Also coordinates efforts of Engineering partners including the NOC, video services, HSD operations and critical infrastructure during major outages. Communicates status to senior engineering leadership and regional operations leadership. Overall responsibility to ensure any major outage is resolved as quickly as possible to minimize customer impact and ensure continual improvement in our outage management process.Coordinates implementation of new services and engineering activities to provide deconfliction of schedules. Minimizes the impact on customers and on technical operations by partnering across engineering functions to ensure multiple activities are not scheduled within the same time frame.Budget planning and development across TechNo functional areas. Directly accountable for CapEx and OpEx budget for hub organization. Indirect accountability for CapEx budget planning across other TechNo functional areas.Directly responsible for development and engagement of all localized engineering team members including both individual contributor and leadership development and training. Provides feedback on development needs for other engineering resources.Responsible for driving standardization of engineering processes and procedures across geographic area in accordance with overall functional engineering and technical operations goals.
