Summary
**Overview** The Director of Communications and Administration is a highly detailed project manager, proficient in developing effective communication vehicles for a retail audience and is passionate about Tiffany. The perfect candidate will have a background in writing and editing, designing intranet websites and an eye for graphic design. This position will help lead communication efforts for Northern America by aligning senior management goals with retail sales objectives and will oversee the delivery of timely, authentic messages that support the goals set forth. He/she will partner with several key departments within the organization to write, review and ensure messaging to the retail stores is on point. This position requires a focus on service with the desire to support our retail partners and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
**Northern America Website** * Oversee the project planning and redesign of the Northern America Retail website in SharePoint and ensure the site is updated on a daily basis. * Maintain knowledge of best practices and developments in SharePoint technologies, communication mediums, and apply these to recommend continuous improvement. * Oversee the updating of the policy and procedure library on the website and cull old and outdated policies. * Work with Subject Matter Experts and Northern America partners to develop ideas and best practices for communicating messages via the website. * Edit all daily news articles related to "just in time" messaging of new products, procedures, sales initiatives, and store incentives before posted on the website. **Retail Communications** * Serve as editor-in-chief of weekly and monthly communication publications to retail. * Ensure publications complete necessary review cycles while still hitting deadlines. * Develop creative and new incentives and initiatives to drive the workforce and follow-up as needed to close-out and celebrate store accomplishments. * Serve as the primary point of contact for all departmental messaging necessary for the retail audience with a high sense of urgency. Act as gate-keeper of messaging as necessary. **Administration** * Oversee the Administrative arm of the department and ensure all tasks are completed accurately and timely. These tasks include: updating personnel directories and store hours, maintaining store collateral, hospitality oversight, and responding to the retail support mailbox. * Oversee department budgeting and expense processing through the ARIBA system. * Provide updated weekly project plans and status reports to Director of Communications. * Help the team with large ad-hoc projects including award coordination and conference planning support as needed. **Talent Management** * Manage and develop the temporary administrative assistant to high performance. * Manage and develop the temporary communications specialist (open) to high performance. * Replace temporary help as needed.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications** * BA or BS required * Minimum of five (7+) years of experience in Communications, Store Operations, Journalism, Training or Marketing. * Exceptional organizational and project management skills with proven ability to follow-up. * Outstanding writing and editing skills. (Writing samples required) * Outstanding communication/publication design. (Design/layout samples required) * Ability to develop trust and collaborative working relationships among departments. * Outstanding demonstration of agility, sense of urgency, attention to detail and ability to hit deadlines. * Knowledge of Basic Microsoft and Adobe software. * Strong ability to inspire creativity, positivity and maximize talent in others. * Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint preferred.
