Summary
The Brand Project Manager oversees the planning, execution and delivery of assigned projects for global brand communications and the North American region. The position as part of the Global Creative Operations team will connect with creative, advertising, public relations and digital storytelling practices at the ground level. Position interacts with select departments that request Oakley visuals supporting global brand strategy and graphic standards. Position is responsible for maintaining effectiveness in all areas of project management: project scope, budgets, timelines, crisis management, production and delivery. The position oversees projects including digital, print, photography and video while working with internal creative, production and agency partners.
Responsibilities
**Project Management:** - Define project scope, timing and deliverables. - Manage project development from beginning to end, including major milestones. - Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. - Update status reports and conduct status meetings as required ensuring all campaign assets align. - Liaise with stakeholders, internal clients and creative operations (creative and production) and agency partners on an ongoing basis. - Support global brand governance by routing concepts and production content (may include mechanical, photo selects, retouching, rough cuts and staging links) and obtain proper approvals at each milestone; including legal, product and proofreading. Maintain key project records on Oakley server. - Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans. - Escalate concerns to leadership to keep assigned projects on track. **Inter-department Relations:** - Support Global Marketing on content creation that keep the brand unified, transparent and focused on content deliverables. - Duties include ensuring concepts are developed on brand, following and maintaining current Style Guide whether by in-house creative or agency partners are assigned. **Agency Relations:** - Assist with management of agency partners on assigned projects on day-to-day basis, from briefing through concept and production approvals to roll-out of final deliverables. - Ensure projects are reviewed by key stakeholders, deliver on time and status is communicated clearly through project lifecycle. **Innovation & Integration:** - Drive innovation of new tools, processes and practices that simplify, create efficiencies and improve collaboration.
Ideal Candidate
- Position requires 3-7 year background in marketing project management, media, PR or graphic operations. - Rudimentary knowledge of CS6 is helpful. - Experience with any of the following PM software systems preferred: InMotionNow, FileMaker Pro, FastTrack, MS Project, Basecamp, etc - Bachelors Degree in marketing or communications preferred, or equivalent industry experience considered - Prior experience creating calendars/communications that are visually appealing - Experience working with or for advertising agencies - Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously - Ability to follow up and follow through - Ability to travel - Initiative and a fundamental ability to problem solve - Ability to work with varied personalities under pressure situations - Comfortable operating in a deadline driven environment - Solid understanding of Graphic printing processes and the disciplines around them (i.e. Print Production, Graphic Design, Production Design, Photography, Video, Website Design) - Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) - Must be collaborative, high energy with a desire to develop strong project teams and best practice processes
