Summary
The Director of UA Online Marketing in the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management/Academic Initiatives and Student Success will develop and lead execution of marketing strategies that advance the enrollment and marketing goals for UA Online. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate a higher education brand into the online degree marketplace to appeal to a demographic of adult learners, degree completers and others with various educational histories. The Director of UA Online Marketing reports to the Executive Director (ED), Student Affairs & Enrollment Management and Academic Initiatives & Student Success Marketing (SAEM/AISS) and is an active member of the UA Online executive leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Work in the context of the UA Online marketing plan and UA brand, develop strategies that raise the online visibility of and increase the number of qualified prospects and applicants for UA Online as a whole, as well as for individual online programs. - Collaborate with the ED and UA Online executive leadership team to hire and manage day-to-day operations of two additional marketing and creative staff dedicated to UA Online. - Develop SEO and digital advertising strategies for UA Online, with a relentless focus on assessment, return on investment, and refinement of marketing efforts. - Ensure work assignments, creative briefs, project goals, deliverables, and work review processes align with the priority framework set out by the ED and executive leadership related to UA Online marketing and brand strategy. - Utilizing existing and refined tools, assess workflow on an ongoing basis to provide current and forecast project health and resourcing assessments with the goal of right sizing effort, maximizing resources, and ensuring timely delivery. - Participate in quantitative and qualitative evaluation, assessment, and research that lead to continuous refinement of marketing efforts. - Oversee and collaborate to create evaluations, metrics, AB testing, and reports that demonstrate the effectiveness, return on investment, and continuous improvement of content strategies. - Efficiently manage the UA Online media budget and oversee media buys. - Work closely with the enrollment team and admissions leadership. - Other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field - At least 5 years of marketing experience with a record of progressively increasing responsibility. - Marketing planning, project management, supervisory, and client/account management experience. - Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills **Preferred Qualifications** - Master’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field. - Experience in a higher education setting. - Experience in online marketing.
