Summary
As Strategic Marketing Manager, you are responsible for growth of the Power & Fluid Systems segment by identifying and assessing new innovation opportunities that are significant, valuable and defendable. You will be accountable for assessing market opportunities, marketing strategies, marketing plans and specific leadership initiatives that would position Lubrizol for sustainable profitable growth. If you succeed in doing so, you will not only position this segment to deliver financial results in line with short and long term targets, but you would be positioned for future global segment leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Establish a deep market understanding of the Power & Fluid Systems segment and identify target market sub-segments. - Create value through market intimacy and innovation - understand market trends, assess market potential, identify and develop target sub-segments through value and opportunity analysis, and define the marketing strategy. - Identify gaps in our current capabilities and develop action plans to address them. - Identify and lead innovation opportunities that align with the global strategy of our Power & Fluid Systems segment and will result in sustained profitable growth. - Propose, develop and implement marketing plans to achieve the marketing strategy and business objectives - Launch new products, gain early market acceptance, and accelerate penetration. - Accelerate mindset change from selling products to selling unique, market facing solutions.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, chemistry or engineering - 5+ years of B2B marketing experience (market research, segmentation, value chain analysis, customer needs analysis, definition of value proposition, marketing plans, marketing strategy and identifying new innovative opportunities to WIN) - Power & fluid systems or wire & cable market expertise of 5 years - Located in (or willing to relocate to) the Cleveland, Ohio area and willing to travel 30-40% - Highly competent in developing and implementing strategies - Excellent communication skills
