Summary
Our client is currently seeking a Production Manager. The Production Manager will provide Leadership and Oversight to the production operations for the plant and manage key performance indicators for productivity, quality and safety. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Operations for New Jersey.
Responsibilities
* Develop planning and hold responsibility for production metrics and resource allocation * Implement and administer production programs and schedules, safety initiatives and productivity improvement plans * Partner with and manage expectations for maintenance, materials and quality control. * Ensure departmental compliance and drive improvements in operational processes and equipment performance * Enforce responsibility and maintain plant adherence to environmental, health and safety regulations * Manage production operations for a team of 70+ employees to include the hiring, training and talent management and driving of performance excellence * Lead and inspire direct reports in compliance with Company policies and procedures and upholding of Company values * Drive continuous improvement
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * Minimum five (5) years leading teams with the demonstrated ability to effectively lead and direct teams in a production environment * Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience/education is strongly preferred * Demonstrated ability to meet productions goals and Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills Analytical, trouble-shooting and problem solving skills to assess needs, understand issues, formulate and implement lasting solutions; * Lean Implementation and/or Six Sigma experience preferred * Experience in cGMP environment required; experience in food production preferred * Demonstrated understanding of business metrics and key performance drivers and how to execute strategic plans to improve these metrics * Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to stay focused on long term projects, and effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects and * Experience working with an union
