Summary
As General Manager in our Jacksonville site, you will report directly to the US Division SVP, Operations and Supply Chain and will take the lead in translating the Division business strategy into a ‘live’ site action plan. Great food is our passion and in Jacksonville, we create a wide range of fresh and frozen products - frozen sandwiches and fresh food-to-go including wraps, sandwiches, salads, parfaits, and ready-to-eat/ready-to-cook meals. You will effectively coordinate all projects and initiatives within these areas, ensuring all are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
At Greencore we put people at the core of how we run our business, so there is a strong focus on looking after our people, and our impact on the wider community. You’ll support this by ensuring that our Divisional strategy for safety, health and the environment is always at the top of your agenda. Additionally, you’ll create an environment where individuals feel able to continually challenge the status quo, embracing change and helping to make decisions to drive continuous improvement. You will ensure that we consistently deliver to the highest, consistent standards across all areas of the business, focusing on driving improvements by designing and implementing robust continuous improvement plans deployed through Lean/CI programs to embed modern manufacturing techniques. Overall, we are looking for you to be an inspirational leader able to build a strong manufacturing unit leadership team that delivers sustainable results. You’ll bring this to life by focusing on your employees and their development, ensuring they are engaged, motivated and always delivering to their potential.
Ideal Candidate
You should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a track record of delivering results at a senior level. You will have 10 or more years manufacturing leadership experience within the food industry, preferably in a fast-paced frozen or fresh food production environment. You will be a strong leader with a high degree of tenacity, determination and persistence to ensure goals are met. A solid understanding of USDA/FDA regulations in a food manufacturing environment is essential. You’ll need to bring with you an understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement so ideally we are looking for you to be Green Belt Six Sigma certified, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience and knowledge in maximizing and improving manufacturing systems. Not only will you be working for a leading food manufacturer, but you’ll also get to work for a company that really does put people at the core. So if you are ready to take on the challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
