MPC is the nation’s fourth-largest refiner and the largest refiner in the Midwest. MPC’s refining, marketing and transportation operations are concentrated primarily in the Midwest, Southeast, Northeast and Gulf Coast regions of the U.S.

This position will be part of a Project Controls Team supporting planning, cost and schedule activities for projects managed by Marketing & Transportation Engineering. The position partners with the Project Controls Specialists and Project Leaders to provide detailed cost support for larger projects and facilitate the execution of project work.

• Provide detailed cost support for larger projects.
• Create and adjust MS Project schedules.
• Use a variety of spreadsheets and/or software applications to input, review and reconcile project records with SAP.
• Support the development and routing of project documents.
• Coordinate with project teams to identify surplus project funds.
• Create and run Excel reports to analyze project metrics.
• Test system enhancements.
• Maintain knowledge of department practices and procedures, and how they apply to work functions.
• Recognize issues and opportunities related to the position and make recommendations on improvements.

• Associates degree required

Major Discipline:

• Accounting, business, or related field

Years Experience Required:

• Two or more years experience preferred Computer Proficiencies: Excel, SharePoint/Teamview, PowerPoint, MS Project and Word
