Responsibilities
- Identify and assess training needs of field service staff by conferring with managers and supervisors or conducting surveys. - Coordinate, schedule and conduct business, functional and technical training for new hires and current employees. This will occur in both a classroom and e-learning platform. - Organize and develop, or obtain, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials. - Produce and develop training materials for in-house and e-learning courses as appropriate. Amend and revise materials as necessary, in order to adapt to changes that occur. - Facilitate the execution of all training plans. - Periodically, evaluate training effectiveness. - Acts as a support fielding questions and issues from staff related to the business and/or systems. - Design relevant technical documentation as required. - Develop and design relevant technical materials required for a product/service/solution launch to include, but not limited to, operator videos, e-learning tutorials and other enhancements, and service information manuals. These materials need to be consistent with accepted standards of instructional design and curriculum (which is consistently evolving). - Identifies and travels with selected service personnel to understand their needs, determine best practices, and recommend training solutions (~20% Travel)
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Education and Training or Technical Discipline - Advanced technical knowledge in the theory and operation of IC engines, AC and DC circuits, and equipment hydraulics - Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical service, field service or training environment to include: - Demonstrated experience working directly with customers - Minimum of 2 years in a employee training capacity with demonstrated experience developing and implementing employee training - Previous experience developing and implementing metrics/metrics reporting - Previous supervisory experience preferred - Previous e-learning design experience using Articulate Storyline or similar software - Previous experience developing technical service manuals and / or maintenance procedures a plus - Advanced Facilitation and Presentation skills - Advanced Customer Service Skills - Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication - Demonstrated ability to build collaboration and drive positive change in people and process - Advanced planning, communication, teamwork and organization skills - Fluent in Microsoft Office applications
