Responsibilities
* Design leadership for complex civil and geotechnical engineering design projects within the mining industry * Hands-on design work including civil and geotechnical analyses and design drawings/technical report preparation * Writing design reports, specifications, record of construction reports * Perform short to medium term domestic and international field assignments including site reconnaissance, geotechnical field investigations, and client meetings * Support development of a strong client base through business development, by leading proposals for new work, and successful completion of project work
Ideal Candidate
* A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or closely related engineering discipline * 10 years minimum of relevant work experience * Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Nevada or currently following career path for licensure * Proficiency in word processing, analytical spreadsheet preparation, and ability to learn a variety of engineering software * Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D software and ability to lead the development of design drawings * Experience demonstrating ability to lead multi-disciplinary technical teams on complex engineering design projects * A resume focused on proven client support * Experience designing large earthworks and lined waste facilities * Understanding of seismic risk evaluations, * Experience with earth stability analyses, surface water hydrology analyses, pipe and channel hydraulics design, and capital cost estimation for earthworks projects * A strong focus on workplace safety and demonstrated safety leadership * Strong writing and analytical skills * Strong communication and leadership skills * Experience with mine development, operations, and closure is preferred * Ability to travel within the United States and internationally for short and medium term assignments
