Summary
The Sales & Service Specialist will focus on new account service and support outside sales representative in winning new accounts. The Sales & Service Specialist will also participate in installations and repairs and resolve any customer concerns. The ideal candidate will need to communicate at all levels internally as well as within external customers. In addition, the Sales & Service Specialist will make decisions and direct work flow autonomously.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate customer centric relationships with management as well as operators to drive adoption of Orbio products. - Troubleshoot technical issues and communicate with Orbio, customer and service team members. - Perform updates, upgrades and repairs on high-profile Customer placements and when Tennant Service Tech’s schedules or inexperience won’t allow them to - Train Tennant Service Techs on Orbio installation, maintenance and repair - Coordinate and conduct trials in the field: site surveys, equipment installation, training and regular follow-up in-person with customer. - Set up basic cleaning protocol at customer location, take test measurements and create basic test reports. - Organize and prioritize business and activities to make the most efficient use of time and resources. - Develop and maintain strong knowledge with Orbio EAW technology. - Time management and prioritization: balance time between high profile repairs/upgrades, post sales follow up, new account development, installation, operator training, and ongoing support. - Effectively use technology to communicate, manage data, record and retrieve customer contacts, and access essential information about our business. - Independently manage difficult business situations. This includes anticipating obstacles and competitive threats and modifying or adjusting solution recommendations in such a way as to be in a preferred position.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. - Entry level with preference 1-2 years sales or technical support experience. - Demonstrated success selling/supporting chemical products or capital equipment. - Extremely high level of customer focus and sense of urgency - Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers at all levels of organization - Aptitude for hands on training and skilled at “training the trainer” - Mechanical attitude and high level of comfort with Technology - Knowledge of cleaning products and practices. - Exceptional organization and prioritization skills - Ability to work collaboratively with field sales and service team members - Flexibility to move seamlessly from support/tech role to sales activity as the role and the company evolve over time - Ability to travel 50%-75% of the time - Spanish language skills – strongly preferred - Ability to lift 45 lbs
