Summary
Telenav is looking for a temporary Marketing Events Specialist to join its Automotive Marketing and Events team. The ideal candidate is an experienced logistics ninja who can team up with the Events Manager to plan and execute flawlessly on both big and small events from start to finish.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the operations and logistics of key industry events, trade shows, conferences, and client meetings * Manage all event logistics including, sponsorship contracts, vendors, set up/tear down, all booth and/or meeting room needs, hotel and travel arrangements, catering, and all other related activities * Use event management software to set up event landing pages, collect registrations, and manage onsite registration for all events * Organize shipping and transportation to shows and events * Update budget and track expenses for events * Source and manage promotional items for giveaways and swag * Work with marketing and product team on ensuring content deliverables are provided on time * Administrative and marketing support per the needs of each event * Assist with post event analysis, budget recaps, internal and client feedback and incorporate learning into future event plans * Help with any other tasks as assigned by the Events Manager
Ideal Candidate
* At least 2 - 4 years with event planning and tradeshow experience * Ability to travel and be at event site from set up to tear down * Strong initiative and proven ability to work independently * Extremely well organized, detail-oriented, and proactive * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Enjoys collaborating with internal, external partner teams, customers and vendor/consultants to drive business objectives * Effective negotiating skills, ability to negotiate with both external and internal parties * Resourceful and creative problem solver who can maintain grace under pressure, especially when dealing with unexpected challenges
