Summary
Description: Join our Security Engineering team and build world class technology solutions in support of Target’s Security Information and Event Management, Threat Analytics, Database Access Control, and Network Access Control strategies! You will enjoy platform ownership of at least one leading edge technology implementation such as: FireEye EX & NX, TAP, Tanium, Great Bay Beacon, and/or Cisco ISE. You will design, build and administer these solutions in partnership with our security, compliance, operations, and support teams.

As a Sr. Security Engineer, you'll take the lead as you… * Own and guide platform strategy within the Threat Analytics and Network Access Control security engineering spaces * Review security capabilities and proactively work to identify and implement new capabilities * Work within and across security domains/disciplines to help build and execute on a cohesive security strategy * Guide technical design activities to ensure design intent is clear and infrastructure impact understood * Participate in strategies to utilize DevOps tools such as GitHub and Chef to manage infrastructure hardware, software and other technical components as service offerings * Lead in the design and build of infrastructure components for security tools including virtual and bare metal servers, direct attached storage, NAS, SAN, Network, etc. * Resolve hardware, operational, infrastructure and application incidents in a level three engineering capacity * Lead the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of platforms, applications and infrastructure services * Work with IT management and architects to ensure systems are in line with overall IT policies and standards
Ideal Candidate
Requirements: * BA/BS or equivalent experience * 5-7 years total work experience * Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain * Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise * Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education Preferred Requirements: * Experience with design, deployment and administration of these or any other security and compliance technologies * Strong infrastructure and/or networking background * Unix/Linux server administration background * Expertise within an operating platform, Windows or Unix, Unix preferred * Experience working in a matrixed IT organization with numerous stakeholders
