Summary
The Senior Director within SBA at Targetbase is responsible for the execution and delivery of the analytical solutions which meet the client business needs. The Senior Director works directly with the analytical lead on the account as well as other cross-competency team members to create and validate project-level analytical plans, ensuring the manager and analysts are well briefed on the project (the briefing should start with objectives and include reviews of the analytical plan and the data sources to be leveraged). His/her job is to ensure the analysis meets the client objectives and to ensure the quality of the deliverable meets Targetbase standards (including answering the “what” and the “so what”).
Responsibilities
* Works with managers and/or analysts to execute the analysis, providing both hands-on analysis themselves as well as direction and guidance for the managers or analysts on the project * Talks through ideas with the VP or SVP of SBA, reviews work, and receives needed direction on how to accomplish a given issue or opportunity * Works as a strong member of the assigned Targetbase client teams, partnering with the other competency leads to create the right integrated solutions for clients * Provides proactive ideas that drive the client’s business forward – the inspiration for the ideas should come from the data insights that the analytical team draws out of the analysis and reporting work * Ultimately responsible for the overall quality and level of analytical insights developed for the assigned accounts

**Performance Expectations** * Drives client satisfaction and overall account growth – The Senior Director of SBA facilitates the design, selling, and execution of analytical work that drives clients’ businesses forward and ensures overall account growth. All analytical deliverables are insight-infused and of the highest quality (produced on budget and on time). This is measured by the EVP of Strategy/Analytics reviewing the execution of an analytical road map for the accounts, the quality of the analytical deliverables for the account, the feedback directly from clients on Targetbase’s analytical strength as well as the overall revenue growth of the accounts. * Is a strong and collaborative valued partner to Client Service teams – The Senior Director of SBA is viewed as a “valued partner” to the senior client leads. Collaborates with the other competency leads to design and sell the right solutions for clients. This is measured by the EVP of Strategy/Analytics based on client feedback as well as feedback from senior client leads and other competency leads. * Actively develops analytical talent – The Senior Director of SBA provides day-to-day direction and mentorship for the directors, managers, and analysts assigned to his/her work in a way that both produces the highest quality deliverables AND provides a learning environment for analytical talent. This is measured by the analytical leadership team taken from a review of the quality of the deliverables as well as feedback from the junior staff and the talent managers. * Contributes to the overall account profitability – The Senior Director of SBA works in collaboration with the account teams to create the scope, estimates, and deliverable plans that ensure the profitability of the analytical work. The success is measured by profitability metrics. * Builds strong client relationships through analytical leadership – The Senior Director of SBA provides analytical leadership to clients through strong analytical road maps and an ability to meet ongoing client needs. Is viewed as a strong contributor to the business by clients. This is measured by the EVP of Strategy/Analysis based on client feedback and the assessment of the overall analytical plan. * Demonstrates through day-to-day activities and leadership a commitment to the vision and guiding principles of the agency and vision and strategic plan for the SBA group – All day-to-day activities are * performed in alignment with the vision, strategy, and guiding principles of the agency. This is measured by the EVP of Strategy/Analytics based on daily observation and feedback from the client and teams. **Experience & Education** * 7+ years of applied analytics experience * Experience in some or all of the following areas of marketing analysis: segmentation, predictive analytics, digital analytics, measurement, business intelligence, and/or market research * Experience across multiple industries and analytic disciplines * Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced education is preferred **Knowledge & Ability** * Effective communication and presentation skills * Capable of leading behavioral analysis and research initiatives from project design through communication/dissemination of relevant findings * Advanced analysis techniques * Proficient with SQL, SAS/SPSS and/or data mining tools **Position Requirements** * Overtime as necessary * Travel as necessary
