Summary
The Senior Analyst Release Delivery role is responsible for the orchestration of testing, deployment implementation preparations, and code delivery to IT Production environments. This position owns solution delivery and is ultimately responsible for release leadership, management, quality, and timely / cost-effective delivery. The Senior Analyst has to work effectively with upper management and multiple stakeholders to apply customer relationship management practices, including the identification of appropriate, mutually agreed objectives. The Senior Analyst must also be able to lead technical personnel (Application Support, Developers, Testers etc.), and track and resolve technical issues.
Responsibilities
* Creates and drives release status reporting and meetings as communication and management tools to ensure release health. Provides transparency to risks and issues that require stakeholder support and action. Establishes and maintains strong relationships with project managers, application support, development, and test teams. * Identifies in a proactive mode potential risks to the release that are likely and put in place risk mitigation plans to alleviate them. * Maintains an enterprise release calendar, release plans, release change log and supporting deliverables through defining needed activities, dependencies and identifying key supporting resources. Works with release management and project teams input to accurately define and manage the scope definition to provide a common understanding of the release contents. Uses planning and controlling skills to ensure release scope creep does not occur. Can apply release change management principles and processes to manage release scope and help others to understand the impact of change. Follows up to ensure clear disposition of changes are documented and communicated. Works with application support teams to define and control the scope of monthly release maintenance bundle content to be included into the major releases. Ensures timely delivery of the bundles to meet standard workback schedule dates. * Plans, identifies, and documents release quality standards. Works with stakeholders and project teams to align deliverables. Works with project and supply teams to understand and document project interdependencies within the release and minimize risk. Adheres and manages to standard processes and change boards. Works with project and release teams and stakeholders to establish quality control points to ensure release deliverables meet expectations. Works with stakeholders, project teams and leadership to provide decision support information on release quality factors that can be compromised. Follows through and clearly communicates disposition of all defined release exceptions prior to release handoff for delivery. * Reports out on release level key performance indicators, tracks metrics on project delivery and captures post-release feedback for process improvement Proactively identifies and recommends improvements to standard processes and procedures. Actively participates in the implementation of changes to standard processes and procedures. * Understand and manage time allocations versus actuals for project billing across multiple time keeping platforms. Ideal Candidate
Minimum Required * 2-4 yrs formal project or release management work experience * Must be proficient and have experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Project and Visio * Knowledge of Project Management and Development practices, and lifecycles * Strong organizational and communication skills; effectively communicates with all employee levels and levels of management. Professional presence when working with senior leadership. * Ability to identify project and cross project impacting issues and work with more senior members of the Release and Project Management teams to mitigate risk * Ability to balance multiple priorities and successfully manage delivery of time-boxed tasks with a strong attention to detail. Desired * Formal Project Mgmt certification * Experience with Clarity or other PPM tools * Proven success in managing integrated cross project coordination and PMO functions. * ITIL change management knowledge Education Minimum Required * Bachelors Degree. Business Administration, MIS, Project Management * Combination of equivalent experience and education
