Sysmex is a global leader in the design and development of high-quality, reliable and innovative clinical diagnostic hematology, coagulation, urinalysis equipment and information management systems, as well as research flow cytometry products.
Responsibilities
- Develops and manages the corporate media plan. - Serves as the Company’s primary contact for media and other external audiences. Manages relationships with media and product/industry experts to ensure the Company is widely and positively represented in the general and business press including industry-specific market publications. - Writes interesting and effective news releases and prepares information for media kits. - Develops compelling content. Writes industry-specific publication articles, newsletter articles, white papers, collateral, social media, website and multi-media content. - Develops and implements internal associate communications with the Asst. Director Marketing Communications. - Manages and maintains the Company’s media training program. - Acts as liaison with corporate communications office. - Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
- Clear understanding of product positioning, target marketing, market segmentation to healthcare industry is required. - Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communications skills are essential. Ability to distill complex medical technology and industry information into concise, effective messages is required. - Samples of industry work are required. - Proficiency in the Microsoft products: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel as well as publishing applications and social media. - Ability to travel up to 20%. - Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing communications, medical technology, biology/chemistry, technical communications or related field required. Master's degree with a specialization in Marketing preferred. - 7+ years marketing and communications experience including media relations, marketing content development and internal communications. - 4+ years Media/Public Relations experience in the healthcare industry is required. - Experience with biological/medical principles and medical technology terminology required.
