Summary
This position is accountable for planning and coordinating printed and online materials, external events,community programs, as well as writing, producing and posting social and digital content, that support marketing and corporate initiatives. It works collaboratively with department colleagues, service line administrators and clinical staff. The position requires basic graphic design skills, a high degree of creativity, project and time management skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position also requires independent judgment and the ability to prioritize and manage work flow and meet deadlines and budget targets, while handling a variety of details and follow through on projects with accuracy and timeliness. Must have the ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends on occasion to participate and/or lead community sponsored events, health fairs, community events, focus groups, etc.
Responsibilities
**Marketing:** * Develops and executes strategy, plans, and activities within approval budget. Supports communications and marketing projects within brand guidelines. Project scope may include writing, producing and distributing printed materials, including brochures, flyers, rack cards, posters, direct mailers, infographics, newsletters, press releases, and other communications. Coordinates and facilitates events and tours. Writes, produces and posts content for websites, blogs, e-newsletters, and multiple social media channels. Provides editorial support. Works with other Communications, Public Relations, and Web teams to ensure integrated marketing communication. Establishes metrics to measure the effectiveness of the project or communication campaign. Stays informed of healthcare industry marketing communication trends and best practices. Brings new ideas to leaders for consideration. **Community Relations/Outreach:** * Supports overall community relations and outreach efforts aimed at improving the hospital's image in the community. Creates and maintains a positive relationship with community organizations. Develops and monitors programs involving community outreach efforts. * Plans, coordinates, executes and measures the success of external events, including sponsored events, health fairs and educational seminars within appropriate budget guidelines. Self directs the planning of these events, including the development of printed materials and ordering promotional items. * Supports assigned committees, community boards, and advisory councils, including preparing meeting agendas, informational materials, guest speakers, presentations, and member communication. **Marketing Production:** * Job may include coordinating photo and video production; maintaining publication traffic and production schedules; and participating in ad agency related projects. * The incumbent must have the ability to self report to leaders monthly notable accomplishments. * The incumbent must also have the ability to self report to leaders quarterly community benefit activities, including time committed as well as, the ability to self assess performance based on the Personal Development Plan. * This position does not provide patient care.
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. * Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a similar field. **Experience:** * Minimum one year in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or Communications required; one year of healthcare experience preferred. * Strong, demonstrable writing skills and experience required. * Ability to coordinate multiple priorities, deadlines and projects required. **License(s):** * None. **Certification(s):** * None. **Computer / Typing:** * Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
