Summary
Our client, a leading fortune company is looking for Staff Accountant in their organization. This is a 2 months contract position and is located in Beaverton, OR
Responsibilities
* As our Staff Accountant, you will join a dynamic team of professionals that is charged with the management and oversight of all accounting functions. * You'll provide accounting analysis and administration, review and interpret contractual agreements for compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and work closely with the RAC Manager to report financial results both internally and externally. * You will be responsible for maintaining database information related to the financial obligations of various agreements; analyzing performance results and respective impacts to contractual payments, and managing all aspects of the payment initiation and reporting process. * You will also be responsible for maintaining a basic understanding of financial systems and data elements. * You will participate in the monthly financial statement close for your assigned contracts and accounts. In addition, you'll monitor compliance of processes, transactions, and balances with accounting policies and procedures and recommend appropriate opportunities to increase internal controls.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field with an emphasis on Accounting or Finance preferred * 2 years' additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree * At least 2 years of experience in an accounting or financial role * Knowledge of accounting, reconciliations and payment processes and controls * Strong proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook * Experience utilizing SAP or MAPPER systems is preferred * Demonstrate excellent attention-to-detail * Effective communication skills to articulate compliance processes and procedures to multiple business partners throughout the organization * Ability and desire to identify and drive continuous process improvement opportunities * Ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism and work with confidential information * Experience in a Sports Marketing or Athletic environment highly desired
