Basic Function Plans, directs and coordinates the analysis of the product portfolio, customer and sales information, historical sales and pricing and relevant business operations data. Responsible for managing the creation, collection, organization, development and dissemination of relevant information to obtain maximum profitability and volume while supporting strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Understand tables, schemas, and stored procedures related to assigned business processes and business data within the CRM/CPQ and ERP commercial system tools. - Provides analysis of customer information, Stryker sales information and historical pricing levels and contract negotiations to business leadership. This may include third party market information, strategic report analysis as requested and preparatory work for Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) Request for Information, Requests for Proposal and contract submissions. - Serve as key process and systems resource for Sales and Commercial Systems user groups including the development of programs or applications to meet the needs of strategic business analysis. - Serve as a key process and systems resource including the development of templates, matrix formats, reporting structures, portfolio and market segmentation reporting metrics as necessary. - Respond to customer and sales requests for custom reports and queries. - Develop models for sales projections, forecasts and market estimates that capture the future position and risk of various business opportunities. - Provide historical trend analysis regarding customer pricing and purchasing behaviors. Owner of process improvement projects that will drive efficiency amongst the Sales and CE teams. - Will assist in the analysis of internally generated and business development projects. Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports on areas of responsibility. - Assuring the integrity of project data, including data extraction, manipulation, processing and analysis and that key sales and shipments data ties out to reported financials. - Analyzing data with standard statistical methods, interpreting the results and providing written summary of data analysis in key sales and commercial business operations segments. - Work closely with business leaders to prioritize business and information needs. Other duties as assigned. - Has the independence and authority to perform required tasks to ensure all provisions of the quality system are met.
Ideal Candidate
**Physical requirements** - Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a minimal amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, etc. Generally involves sitting most of the time. **Mental requirements** - Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills. Able to develop and explain detailed proposals, guidelines and procedures. **Skills/Experience required** - 3+ years experience as data or business analyst a plus. - Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages, as well as, analyze statistical and financial data with the intent to present and influence key stakeholders with business recommendations. - Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to details and accuracy. - CRM/CPQ and ERP experience preferred. - Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical reporting packages for analyzing large data sets. - Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting/analytics packages, databases and programming. - Bachelors degree required. - Education/training required - B.B.A. or B.S., preferably in business, mathematics, finance, computer science or related discipline. - MBA is desirable.
