Summary
The Regional Commercial Services Sales Director (RCSSD) will provide direction and leadership to the Regional Commercial Services Sales Team. Together with the Director of Sales for Commercial Services (DSCS) and the Commercial Services Managers (CS Managers) within the Region, the RCSSD will be responsible for establishing a high quality commercial sales team through recruiting, training, developing, and retaining top-performing team members in order to achieve sales and production goals. The RCSSD will build a strong network by interacting with title organizations, attending customer events and developing personal relationships with key customers and directing them to the sales team when appropriate. This position will not compete with members of the sales team for clients or revenue. This is a sales leadership position.
Responsibilities
* In conjunction with the DSCS and the local CS Manager, develop a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy tailored to the expectations of the local operation while aligning to Corporate, Direct Operations and Enterprise Sales strategies. * Interface with Operational leadership and local CS Managers and communicate Sales results, strategies, new opportunities and resource needs * Achieve sales, revenue and margin goals set by the Director of Commercial Services, Director of Sales for Commercial Services and the local CS Manager and as set out in each BDO’s annual sales and revenue plans. * Create budgets for all sales activities for their sales team including business travel, conferences, training, etc. * Leverage Stewart best practices to improve individual and team performance * In conjunction with the DSCS and the local CS Manager, develop annual plans for personal leadership and ongoing sales skills development and schedule and sponsor training for sales team members as required (personal development as well as product/solution) * Facilitate team communications and best practice sharing including regular and ad hoc team meetings with consistent agenda and rhythm also attend on a regular basis branch meetings for each BDO * Coach team members on all aspects of their positions * With the approval of the Director of Commercial Services, DSCS and the CS Manager, recruit and hire the best team based on consistent Stewart standards adapted to regional requirements * Together with the local CS Managers, conduct annual and semiannual performance reviews for sales team members, as well as frequent territory reviews * Together with the local CS Managers, review and approve all expense reports for sales team members * Together with Director of Commercial Services, DSCS and the local CS Managers, resolve disputes and conflicts over assignment of customers and credit for orders. * In conjunction with all CS Managers within the region, plan territory coverage, aligning customers and opportunities to sales resources * Design programs/strategies to meet the sales revenue targets set within the given territories and accounts * Develop new strategies, tactics, and plans for future growth of revenue and customers * In concert with the DSCS and the CS Manager engage with strategic customers, align relationships between customer organization and Stewart * Manage the sales team discipline for sales opportunities, pipeline, and contacts using Enterprise CRM * Review sales associate strategies and provide input, direction and coaching * Provide timely reporting to Operational leadership, the DSCS and the local CS Manager regarding forecasts, pipeline management and performance measurements * Work directly with National Sr. VP and Director of Sales for Commercial Services. * Achieve and maintain a cost of sales of ( TBD )
Ideal Candidate
**Role Specific Knowledge:** * Systems Knowledge – MS Office, Enterprise CRM, AIM+, Stewart online * Knowledge of Stewart products/solutions a plus * Regulatory Knowledge - local title insurance real estate-related laws and regulations. * Real Estate Industry Knowledge – customs and procedures for commercial real estate transactions **Education, Licensure, and Experience:** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience * 5 + years of experience in Title Insurance and or Commercial Real Estate experience * Experience in leading and directing a sales team * Background in and an understanding of B to B selling * An understanding of value added and relationship selling
