Summary
The Vice President, Strategy leads a large and fast-growing team of social leaders whose mission is to help ensure that Spredfast customers are successful using any element of Spredfast’s Smart Social platform. To achieve this goal, the Strategy team includes experts in research and analytics, community management, content creation, social advertising, and social strategy.. The Vice President has full P&L responsibility for this line of business, and plays a critical leadership role in new business development, scoping existing services, innovating and bringing to market new services, serving as executive sponsor and champion for top customers, representing Spredfast at events and conferences, and serving as strategic counsel to customers and a voice of social to the media. The Vice President, Strategy sits on the Customer Leadership team and brings his/her expertise to the table to address new or evolving needs within Spredfast’s diverse customer base.
Responsibilities
* Delight Spredfast customers by delivering superlative service & insights to Spredfast Strategy customers. * Be a digital thought leader (speaking, blog, etc.) to inspire Spredfast customers and prospects to fully unlock the value of their software investments by applying their software strategically. * Strong opinions welcome, challenge our customers to be brave in social and share a long term vision for how social can impact their business goals. * Strength in both selling in the big ideas as well as project follow through and execution planning with support teams. * Be operationally excellent. Demonstrated success using data to make impactful business decisions. * Maintain predictable margin delivery of strategy services. * Work cross-functionally with sales and customer partners to develop and scope services offerings and ensure on-plan bookings. * Have a hunger for winning new business and ability to inspire teams to organically grow existing business. * Demonstrate a commitment to develop leadership on the team, empowering team members to take ownership in projects, team growth and career paths. * Recruit, retain and grow the exceptional digital talent within the Strategy team.
Ideal Candidate
* Ability to serve as a senior strategic counselor to social leaders at media companies and major brands. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly-poised with ability to effectively network and interface with all levels of management and executive leadership. * Experience running a services P&L a plus. * Resilient and comfort with constant change while maintaining focus on long term goals. * Being able to inspire, mentor, and grow a large team. * Ability to foster a positive team environment. * Moderate (15%) - to - heavy (35%) travel is sometimes required.
