Responsibilities
* Supports the Brand Marketing Manager in the creative development and copy for a range of marketing communication materials. * Conceptualizes and creates clear and persuasive copy for print, collateral, digital, social media, blogs, internal and external communications. * Demonstrates strong business acumen and is able to incorporate insights from the Brand Marketing Manager, internal stakeholders, research, etc. into content creation. * Able to gain a strong understanding of the product offerings and target audience to effectively position them through tone of voice. * Offers input and sharing ideas for creative solutions and communicating effectively to members of the team. * Collaborates with both internal and external (agency) designers to develop visual and copy ideas that effectively deliver against the approved strategy. * Experience in both B2B and B2C communications. * Adheres to and helps champion the James Hardie brand guidelines. * Able to coordinate and follow creative and production processes for marketing projects. * Able to prioritize and manage an ever-changing and fast-paced workload. * Able to revise, edit and proofread content, as needed.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Skills:** * Demonstrates success working as an integral cross functional team member. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Strong skills to constructively build relationships among both internal and external teams. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to listen, follow direction, prioritize needs/requirements, think proactively and solution-oriented. * Comprehensive understanding of Marketing Communications. * Able to travel up to 10% of the time * Well organized and able to balance multiple projects simultaneously. * Extreme attention to details in work quality. * Can work with minimal supervision. * Ability to take constructive criticism and implement creative direction. **Required Qualifications:** **Education & Experience:** Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism or Communications required plus 5+ years of experience as a professional copywriter preferably for an advertising or marketing firm. Experience within a manufacturing company and or for a manufacturing client a plus.
