Summary
The Integration Business Analyst works as part of a software development team responsible for integrating a Dell Services client with their customers so that the Dell Services client may provide hospital and physician provider revenue cycle management services. The Integration Business Analyst works under minimal supervision to understand the scope of services being provided and the data that will be needed in order to successfully integrate Dell Services’ client with their customer. The Integration Business Analyst works with closely with the customer to obtain the data needed by providing a clearly written integration requirements specification to the customer, which communicates the data that is needed, the format in which the data should be provided, and the frequency in which the data should be sent. Then, the Integration Business Analyst works with the customer to ensure the requirements are understood and to obtain samples of the data requested. Once sample data has been obtained, the Integration Business Analyst reviews the data for gaps, works to resolve any gaps identified, updates the requirements to reflect any decisions made, and obtains approval on the integration requirements. After the integration requirements have been approved, the Integration Business Analyst translates the integration requirements into functional specifications, communicates the functional specifications to the development team, and works with the development team through the development and testing phases to ensure the functional specifications are understood. Once the solution has been tested, the Integration Business Analyst works with Dell Services’ client and their customer to ensure the solution meets the business need by demonstrating the software.
Responsibilities
- Works with client business users to analyze and define problems. - Solicits, develops, documents, and manages requirements to support the development process throughout project life cycle - Provides input on and helps define processes, procedures, and new approaches - Analyzes data and identifies any gaps between data needed and client data provided - Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations/problems using multiple sources of information (qualitative and quantitative) - Presents problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner - Works with minimal direction and is guided by operational and project objectives - Reviews and provides input into system test plans and may assist with the execution of system test plans - Works with the user to select or create appropriate user acceptance test scenarios to determine whether system changes met project specifications. - Creates and reviews user acceptance test plans - Leads user acceptance test execution - Develops effort estimates for business analysis activities
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors of Science in Computer Science desired with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and 3 - 5 years of experience - Knowledge of system development methodology - Knowledge of integrating systems - Problem solving skills - Advanced knowledge of data analysis techniques - Experience working with databases and advanced knowledge of writing SQL queries - Understanding of requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management techniques with a focus on use cases and a use case based approach - Experience in business analysis
