Summary
The Financial Analysis Manager designs and develops analyses to solve complex operational and financial problems. The Manager assists the operational Directors through development and maintenance of reporting solutions to optimize revenue cycle operations. The Financial Analysis Manager works closely with Directors and Managers to research and provide insight into operational and financial performance.
Responsibilities
* Initiate data analysis and financial impact assessments to support the SSC departments. * Responsible for the analysis and delivery of uncompensated care projections. * Responsible for oversight of master file maintenance and updates. * Works closely with operations departments in the development of key metrics to assess departmental performance. * Delivers month-end operational recap reports for both external and internal audiences. * Responsible for creation of HCA MORs and associated analysis * Responsible for variance analysis for accounts receivable and bad debt performance. * Assist in translating business reporting requirements to development staff. * Assist Directors in managing information effectively to improve departmental efficiency and performance. * Understands revenue cycle operations and technologies currently in place. * Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement.” * Other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** * Financial analysis skills - knowledge of research techniques sufficient to collect and interpret data. Knowledge of descriptive statistics to analyze statistical data and prepare projections. Skill in interpreting and analyzing data and quantitative metrics. Ability to apply business intelligence strategies to convert business cases into solutions. Knowledge of legal and fiscal requirements and regulations. * Communication - communications clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. This includes utilizing proper punctuation, correct spelling, and the ability to transcribe accurately. * Organization - proactively prioritizes needs effectively. Manages and evaluates resources. * Leadership - guides individuals and groups toward desired outcomes, setting high performance standards and delivering leading quality services. * Tactical execution - oversees the development, deployment and direction of complex programs and processes. * Customer orientation - establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations. * Interpersonal skills - able to work effectively with other employees, customers and Executive Management Team. * PC skills - demonstrates advanced proficiency Microsoft Excel, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, and other applications as required. Demonstrate knowledge of relational databases, including SQL queries. * Policies & Procedures - demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems. * Basic skills - able to perform mathematical calculations and basic accounting concepts. **Education and/or Experience** * Bachelor’s degree with focus in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other Business-related field required. * 3-4 years ' progressive accounting/finance experience required, preferably in healthcare revenue cycle management. * An equivalent combination of an advanced degree and experience may be considered. * Basic SQL and/or Business Objects query writing experience preferred. * Prior supervisory experience preferred. **Education** * Bachelor’s degree with focus in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other Business-related field required. **Experience** * 3-4 years progressive accounting/finance experience required, preferably in healthcare revenue cycle management. * An equivalent combination of an advanced degree and experience may be considered. * Basic SQL and/or Business Objects query writing experience preferred. * Prior supervisory experience preferred.
