Summary
Ryan Specialty Group is looking for a seasoned financial professional to join our dynamic team in our Chicago Corporate Center. Our company continues to experience rapid growth and is looking for someone interested in a unique opportunity to advance their career while having the ability to influence key policies, decisions and process improvements.
Responsibilities
* Will directly manage a group of 3-5 employees. * Will work to establish operational efficiencies. * Will oversee management of financial reporting risks as well as other enterprise risks in order to assess the impact on financial results and planning. * Manage the preparation of our external reporting. * Manages external audit process including quarterly reviews and annual audit. * Manages financial reporting and control under applicable accounting bases. * Will contribute to financial planning and analysis including budgets, forecasts, results analysis and capital planning. * Maintains oversight of the development and maintenance of the general ledger and financial planning and analysis tools ensuring data integrity. * Assist in assessing possible acquisitions and business integrations. * Will work to establish and maintain documentation of financial reporting, policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 8 years of experience with at least 5 years of public accounting, preferably Big 4. * Industry experience in financial management preferred. * CPA required. * Post Graduate level degree preferred. * Working knowledge of control frameworks. * Experience of control review and audit as well as identifying and implementing process improvements. * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. * Demonstrated track record of problem solving. * Proven leadership skills and experience managing and directing others. * Ability to present information to a wide variety of audiences. * Preference given to candidates with an insurance and/or financial services background.
