Summary
RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty Group is looking for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join our Kansas City office. We are a fast paced, energetic and rapidly growing organization that offers a great opportunity for someone interested in further developing their career. This position is responsible for managing the processing, reconciliation, and collection of receivables from retail insurance agents. Customer service is of the utmost importance, and this position requires diplomatic interaction with internal and external customers to ensure accuracy and satisfaction. This position is also responsible for enhancing performance, work quality, and productivity of Accounts Receivable Coordinators.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers to accelerate collections efforts. * Maintain consistent communications with retail agents. * Collaborate with other Premium Accounting functions in resolving issues and maintaining customer service standards. * Make recommendations to improve Accounts Receivable policies, controls, and procedures. * Manage, train and supervise a team of Accounts Receivable coordinators including professional development and schedule/workload management. * Provide support and project work to the Premium Accounting Director and upper management as needed.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other relevant discipline preferred, or Associate’s Degree (AA) in Accounting or other relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Ability to apply a broad knowledge of accounting principles to a variety of accounting activities ranging from daily transactions to detailed analysis. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. * Insurance industry and agency management system experience strongly desired. * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume position, deliver timely and accurate work products with customer service focus and respond with sense of urgency as required. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, decision making abilities and leadership capabilities. * Focus on fostering an environment of teamwork, collaboration, and customer service. * Ability to work additional hours as needed to meet individual, team, and department goals; on rare occasions day-trip travel may be necessary.
